The Addison: a sweet guesthouse

The Addison is a boutique guesthouse in the historic town of Fernandina Beach on Amelia Island, Florida.

The Addison, originally a private home built in 1876, is a B&B with three buildings, a central courtyard with large oak trees and a fountain. The historic building still has its original timber floor, 5 fireplaces and the main dining and kitchen room. In fact, the other two houses built in 1996, were made with the same original style.

The inn offers 14 charming rooms with hardwood floor, tall windows, elegant furniture and four-poster beds. In addition, some of the rooms have fireplace and terrace.

The innkeepers Shannon and Bob love to take care of their guests and create an amazing atmosphere for them. They serve breakfast on the courtyard veranda, made with fresh ingredients and freshly baked muffins. Moreover, guests can enjoy the Happy Hour with a selection of wines, biers and tapas on the veranda.

The Addison is in a central position near restaurants, art galleries and boutiques.  Guests can relax on the beautiful beaches of the island, or try one of the vacation packages organised by the hotel. Amalia Island offers hiking and biking trails, kayak tours or outdoor excursion to discover the local nature.
