Algarvian Casa Mae

A traditional Portuguese complex inside the city walls of Lagos, Portugal, Casa Mae is just 5 minutes from the beach. It is an ideal base to enjoy and discover Western Algarve. The village is famous for it golden cliffs and secret rocky beaches. Therefore, the perfect destination for surf lovers. Moreover, it is a charm fishermen town with white houses and small cobbled streets.

The complex is in one of the highest points of Lagos, overlooking the old city and the terraced farm. The buildings are in Portuguese style with terracotta floors and near the wall of the city. The inner rooms have vintage Portuguese decors with modern and contemporary furniture. Casa Mae has 3 buildings offering more then 30 rooms and cabanas.

The rooms are in the main home, with vintage furniture, French balconies and bright fabrics. The  cabanas are based on white colour, with rustic algarvian furniture and colourful fabrics. Moreover they have private patios and hammocks and outdoor showers. The rooms in Jogo da bola are spacious and have verandas and balconies with hammock and lounge area.

On the ground floor, guests can enjoy breakfast and healthy plates with fresh local ingredients at the Orta restaurant. The chef offers cooking classes using the produce from the hotel’s garden.

Casa Mãe also has a pool area where guests can relax and enjoy the sun. Moreover, the team organises different workshops to learn the local pottery technique. Guests can also book fishing excursions and different spot activities.  In addition, they can enjoy body treatments or yoga and pilates classes.
