On the promenade of Las Arenas, in the south of Valencia (Spain) the Balandret hotel is perfect for a beach holiday. For instance, from here guests can visit the City of Arts and Science, not far away.
Designed by Carlos Serra, the interiors of the hotel have a Mediterranean style using natural tones and ocean blue. The designer was inspired by the Spanish painter Joaquín Sorolla. In Fact, one of Sorolla’s paintings, the Balandrito, is the reference of the hotel’s name. The hotel has Valencian decors like local tiles, lights and baskets.
Moreover, the walls of Balandret restaurant have large vertical sculptures as a tribute to the Valencian culture. Therefore, some recall a boy playing with his boat as in Sorella’s painting. The menu offers a variety of modern dishes. The restaurant also has a terrace overlooking the sea and a children play area with different toys and painting material.
Balandret hotel offers 21 rooms (double and suite) with terrace or sea view. They have sandy colour wallpapers, white furnishing and blue linen. Some of the suites have a lounge area with sofa bed.
For business meetings or private events and weddings, the hotel offers elegant meeting rooms with the view of the sea.
