Bushbaby River Lodge is in the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate in the Limpopo Provence of South Africa. It is an exclusive resort near Kruger National Park and Blyde River Canyon.
The two owners, Edgar and Yvette, felt in love with South Africa and opened a private and intimate camp. For instance, it is in a picturesque area with local wildlife. In fact, it is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the nature.
Where to sleep
A great accommodation for couples, friends or families, Bushbaby River Lodge offers 5 chalets (rhino, elephant, buffalo, lion and leopard room). All the rooms are in African style and luxury Egyptian cotton linen. Each room has a thatched roof, large veranda, outside showers, mosquito net and air-conditioning.
Every morning guests can taste their healthy breakfast in the restaurant area of the Lodge. Here they can also try a selection of snacks and light meals. Moreover, if they join an excursion, they can have lunch packages or picnic baskets.
What to do
Guests can relax at the pool under the umbrellas, read a book in the private verandas or a drink under the stars. At Bushbaby River Lodge they can also book a body massages.
The lodge is inside a Wildlife Estate without the big five animals. Therefore, it is possible to explore safely the area. Here visitors can participate to several activities like, walks or bike or horse riding and see the local animals. For example, they can see zebra, giraffe, kudu, impala, warthog and mongoose. Moreover, is possible to walk at night and meet the night creatures. The team also organises different excursions and private safaris.
Bushbaby River Lodge works with the local community and supports the Daktari Bush School & Wildlife Orphanage, a non-profit organisation dedicated to teach local kids their natural surroundings.
