A tiny neighbourhood just north of the Brooklyn Bridge, Dumbo is one of the artistic and trendy district of Brooklyn NYC. For instance, this area has industrial warehouses, vintage loft spaces. In addition, it offers a unique view of Lower Manhattan and New York’s beautiful bridges.
Dumbo, an acronym for “Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass”, during the past few decades changed from an industrial district into a trendy area. Now travellers can find here fashionable boutiques, art galleries, bookstore, bars and restaurants. For instance, cobblestone streets, green space and historic red-brick buildings make this district unique.
Visitors and locals enjoy coming here to try hip restaurants and find alternative and unique shops. For example, the Powerhouse Arena is a creative gallery, book store and events space. Another great area is the Brooklyn Bridge Park. A huge green waterfront area that was transformed into a park. After the transformation, people here play sports and enjoy the skyline view. The Jane’s Carousel is a century-old ride inside a large glass cube and it is behind the Brooklyn bridge. In addition, from April through October here there is a Flea market, with a selection of vintage records, food vendors and vintage clothing.
