Eccentric 40 Winks

A charming “micro hotel”, inspired by the fantasy of Alice in Wonderland, the 40 Winks, named  after an English expression meaning a short nap or snooze, offers a magical atmosphere for a different London experience.

Set in a restored four-story Queen Anne townhouse built in 1717, the guesthouse is situated in trendy and vibrant East London. For a long time the location was used as set for fashion and celebrity shootings and transformed in a guesthouse by the owner Mr. David Carter in 2009.

Decorated with new and old furniture assembled with artistic elements and luxurious details, the 40 Winks has 2 rooms (single and double) with just one bathroom to share, designed in a shabby chic style that creates a warm and homely feeling. This eccentric home offers a curated selection of books to read, and a unique collection of art selected by the owner. There is even a ‘secret’ garden for guests to discover.

Info: – Room price: double room from £ 195, incl. breakfast and Wi-Fi
