Hotel Wiesler: Art and Design

Located in the centre of Graz, Austria, Hotel Wiesler has always been a symbol of luxury. Opened in 1909, was taken over by the Weitzer family in 1999. After that, the owner Florian Weitzer, transformed the hotel mixing different styles, from Art Nouveau to modern design. He loves to re-interpret old buildings in a contemporary way.

Hotel Wiesler has a cosmopolitan atmosphere and is in the creative area of the city, right by the River Mur. Close to the hotel, there is the Kunsthaus museum. The Kunsthaus Graz is a cultural centre for modern and local art.

Some of the 98 rooms are refurbished and all are divided in different categories (Small, Medium, Independent, Large, Extra and Suite). Above all, the rooms are a mix of new and original elements. They also have individual pieces, like guitar, antique record player and typewriters.

The Speisesaal restaurant & bar, has a relaxed atmosphere. Guests can enjoy breakfast under the Art Nouveau mosaic ‘Spring’, by Leopold Forstner. Breakfast includes homemade marmalade, fresh farmhouse bread  and also international dishes.

In addition, Hotel Wiesler has an in-house barber, Barbier, and a spa area, Oase, with sauna and steam bath. At the barber, guests can experience a traditional hot shave with a facial massage.

Moreover, the seminar rooms (Frühling, Goldener Engel and Klimt) of the hotel are perfect for meetings, workshops, seminars and events.
