Indian eco-Retreat: Savista

Nestled in the village of Sanjharia, Savista is a family-run boutique property in the Indian countryside. It is in the Rajasthan State and close to Jaipur city.

The owners, from the Kachhawa Rajput family, created an elegant Eco guesthouse surrounded by gardens, trees and local aromatic plants. In fact, energy conservation and responsibility for the local community are really important for the owners. In addition, the house has its own farming garden with fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs used to make delicious meals for the guests.

Savista offers 14 guest rooms, each with a different style. All the rooms are decorated with a selection of handmade antiques and furniture from the Rajasthan area. Moreover, they have modern elements, colourful fabrics, antique restored beds and colonial desks. In addition, some have an outdoor view, a fireplace, sun terrace, balcony or a patio. Four of the rooms can accommodate an extra bed.

What to do 

Guests can enjoy the tranquil atmosphere of the property, spending time by the pool, play tennis or table tennis. Moreover, Savista offers a spa area with special wellness detox programs and yoga lessons. The team follows a vegetarian approach and organises yoga exercises, meditation and traditional Indian massages. Secondly, guests can read a book from the common library or watch a movie.  

In addition, the hotel organises bird watching excursions, printing workshop and learn to print on cotton fabric from the traditional artisans. Then cooking classes, learning to cook traditional dishes, using local ingredients.

Rajasthan state is full of historical monuments, royal forts, palaces and magic bazaars with beautiful handicrafts, colours and fragrance of spices. The boutique hotel organizes tours and day trips to discover this fascinating area.
