Set in the “old Feba radio station” on the West Coast of Mahé, Seychelles, The Station hotel is a calm and tranquil Retreat. It is 10 minutes drive away from Victoria and around has tropical rain forest.
History
Jenny Gilbert, the owner, after moving from South Africa to Seychelles in the late 90s, acquired the propriety. After years of renovations, she created a sustainable Eco-friendly hotel. She is a pioneer of homeopathy and aromatherapy. In fact, from 1995 she has been formulating and producing health and beauty products for exclusive hotels. For instance, a selection of soaps, skincare and other gift ideas are available at the Lily Moon Health & Gift Shop of the hotel.
What to do
The Station hotel is more than just a place to stay during your Seychelles trip. In fact, it is a serene refuge for natural health and wellbeing. The house doesn’t have tv or telephone.
Around the pool, overlooking the gardens, are located the 6 rooms & Villa. Fro example, each room has a connection with a particular flower. They have restored old furniture and French-colonial elements and natural colours. Moreover, some rooms have a private courtyard with ethnic lounge area.
The Station Café & Restaurant offers seasonal healthy dishes with fresh food, herbs and spices from the organic gardens. Moreover here there is a relaxed lounge area with sofas and daybeds.
After a day discovering tropical beaches and crystal water, guests can enjoy massages and wellness treatments at the Station Spa. Moreover, they can participate to daily yoga classes in the Yoga Pavilion. The hotel also organises hiking and walking tours to discover the nearby nature. In addition, they can book snorkelling excursions in the Marine Park.
The Pavilion by the Pool is available to host meetings, workshops, special events and weddings.
