A stylish hotel: Home Buenos Aires

Set in an intimate and stylish building, opened in 2005 by the Argentinian Patricia O´Shea and her English husband Tom Rixton, Home Buenos Aires is a boutique guesthouse in the Palermo Hollywood district, 20 minutes by car away from the centre of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Surrounded by a botanical garden, zoo, several museums, art galleries and cafes, this “home” is an eco-friendly hotel made by wood, glass and colourful decorations. The furniture is a mix of modern and retro pieces like 50’s Scandinavian chairs and sofas in the lobby, mid 20th century chairs and tables in the bar and vintage wallpaper though out.

Home Buenos Aires has a beautiful garden and offers 20 rooms (3 standard, 3 standard plus, 8 superior, 4 suites and 2 lofts) with custom-made wood beds and huge windows. Some of the Suites have a private roof terrace, fire place and lounge area. The Lofts are two apartments adjacent to the hotel, equipped with kitchen, BBQ and a living room area with fireplace.

The Resto-Bar, overlooking the garden, offers breakfast, lunch and dinner and all tapas and dishes are made with local and seasonal food. A selection of Argentinean wines and cocktails is available. Guests can rest in the lobby, reading magazines or books from the library, listening music selected by music producer Tom Rixton, or relax next to the outdoor heated swimming pool. The hotel Spa is a space to re-charge with Ayurveda treatments and body massages.
