Summertime at Ruschmeyer’s

Set in lakeside tree-covered areas in the village of Montauk, Long Island New York, Ruschmeyer’s is a seasonal guesthouse near the ocean. Montauk is the perfect getaway to escape the stressful New York City and enjoy beaches and delicious seafood.

Originally built in 1952, the hotel was recently renovated and transformed into a modern stylish summer camp. The 19 cabin guestrooms (standard, deluxe and suites) have cedar-planked walls, simple wood furniture, Moroccan rugs and colourful textiles. Each room has a hammock chair for lounging, an outdoor area with grill and the suits have a living room with convertible daybed.

The restaurant at Ruschmeyer’s, with an internal and external spaces, serves a seafood menu made from fresh local ingredients. The Magic Garden, with giant oak trees, a tepee, Ping-Pong tables, wood tables and benches, is ideal to relax and have drink with some friends. This space can be also used for meetings, events or a romantic wedding.

Guests can enjoy different activities like bicycling, paddle boarding, surfing and yoga; during the night they can attend musical and theatrical performances or enjoy live & dance music at the Electric Eel Bar.
